The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average export price increased by 10%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Philippines (+9.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into China
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of electronic calculators and pocket-size data recording, reproducing and displaying machines with calculating functions increased by 36% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 4,624% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, calculator imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 734% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The Philippines (X units) and Thailand (X units) were the main suppliers of calculator imports to China.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per unit), while the price for the Philippines stood at $X per unit.
