Exports of Dog And Cat Food

Exports from China

After seven years of growth, shipments abroad of dog and cat food decreased by X% to X tons in 2023. Overall, exports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2022, and then reduced modestly in the following year.

In value terms, dog and cat food exports reduced modestly to $X in 2023. In general, total exports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. Imports into China

In 2023, the amount of dog and cat food imported into China shrank rapidly to X tons, which is down by X% compared with 2022 figures. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, dog and cat food imports declined to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Imports peaked at $X in 2022, and then shrank in the following year.
