These countries were followed by Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, the Netherlands and South Korea, which together accounted for a further 18%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Nigeria (with a CAGR of -3.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, India ($X), Japan ($X) and Nigeria ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for coniferous wood in the rough exported from China worldwide, with a combined 58% share of total exports.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Nigeria, with a CAGR of +15.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, imports showed a precipitous contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, coniferous wood in rough imports reached the peak figure at X cubic meters in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, coniferous wood in the rough imports shrank slightly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a dramatic decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

New Zealand (X cubic meters), the United States (X cubic meters) and Russia (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of coniferous wood in the rough imports to China, together comprising 70% of total imports. Canada, Australia and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Ukraine (with a CAGR of -63.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the largest coniferous wood in the rough suppliers to China were New Zealand ($X), the United States ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for 77% of total imports. These countries were followed by Canada, Australia and Ukraine, which together accounted for a further 18%.
Among the main suppliers, Ukraine, with a CAGR of -64.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
