From 2007 to 2017, average annual rates of growth with regard to cadmium exports from South Korea stood at +X%. At the same time, Peru (+X%), Kazakhstan (+X%), Japan (+X%), Russia (+X%), the Netherlands (+X%), Canada (+X%) and Germany (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Peru emerged as the fastest growing exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. Australia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the U.S. (-X%) and Mexico (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In 2017, the cadmium export price in China amounted to $X per tonne, coming down by -X% against the previous year. In general, cadmium export price continues to indicate a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015, when the export prices increased by X% y-o-y. In that year, the export prices for cadmium attained their peak level of $X per kg. From 2016 to 2017, growth of the export prices for cadmium stood at a somewhat lower level.

Export prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest export price was Germany ($X per tonne), while Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export prices was attained by Australia (-X% per year), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Cadmium Imports into China

Cadmium imports into China amounted to X tonnes in 2017, coming down by -X% against the previous year. In general, cadmium imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2009, when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the cadmium imports reached its maximum volume of X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, cadmium imports amounted to $X in 2017. In general, cadmium imports continue to indicate an abrupt contraction. Over the period under review, the cadmium imports attained its peak figure level of $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Cadmium Imports by Country into China

China represented the largest importer of cadmium in the world, with the volume of imports accounting for X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2017. India (X tonnes) held a X% share (based on tonnes) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Sweden (X%) and Russia (X%). The following importers - Israel (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes) and the U.S. (X tonnes) each accounted for a X% share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Russia (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest cadmium markets worldwide were China ($X), India ($X) and Belgium ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Sweden, the U.S., Russia and Israel, which together accounted for a further X%.

Russia (+X% per year) experienced the highest growth rate of imports, among the main importing countriesover the last decade, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Cadmium Import Prices by Country in China

In 2017, the cadmium import price in China amounted to $X per tonne, increasing by X% against the previous year. Overall, cadmium import price continues to indicate a drastic curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010, when the import prices increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the import prices for cadmium reached its maximum level of $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, the country with the highest import price was Belgium ($X per tonne), while Israel ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
