In 2022, after seven years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of aluminium casks, drums, cans, boxes and similar containers, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. In general, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

In value terms, exports of aluminium casks, drums, cans, boxes and similar containers fell markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then contracted notably in the following year.

The United States (X units) was the main destination for exports of aluminium casks, drums, cans, boxes and similar containers from China, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of aluminium casks, drums, cans, boxes and similar containers to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Vietnam (X units), threefold. South Korea (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.
