Unvulcanized Rubber Exports

Exports from Chile

In 2022, the amount of unvulcanized rubber and articles thereof exported from Chile declined modestly to X tons, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, exports, however, posted resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X%. Peru (X tons) was the main destination for unvulcanized rubber exports from Chile, accounting for a X% share of total exports. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, unvulcanized rubber imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
