Ecuador (X units), Brazil (X units) and Mexico (X units) were the main destinations of electrical insulating fittings exports from Chile, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Peru, the U.S., Colombia, Bolivia and Argentina, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the U.S. (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the key foreign market for electrical insulating fittings exports from Chile, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Brazil ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Ecuador, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Mexico totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Brazil (+X% per year) and Ecuador (+X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2020, the average electrical insulating fittings export price amounted to $X per unit, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate moderate growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2020, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Bolivia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Peru ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Electrical insulating fittings imports into Chile shrank significantly to X units in 2020, reducing by -X% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X units in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, electrical insulating fittings imports reduced remarkably to $X in 2020. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2020, Brazil (X units) constituted the largest electrical insulating fittings supplier to Chile, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, electrical insulating fittings imports from Brazil exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), twofold.
