Venezuela (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes) and Peru (X tonnes) were the main destinations of dried grapes exports from Chile, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Colombia, Russia, the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, Ecuador, Poland, China, Spain and Denmark, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Spain, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Ecuador ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Chile

After three years of decline, supplies from abroad of dried grapes increased by X% to X tonnes in 2020. In general, imports saw pronounced growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, dried grapes imports soared to $X in 2020. Overall, imports showed a perceptible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

Moreover, dried grapes imports from Peru exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Mexico (X tonnes), twofold.
