Apple Market Size in Chile

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X), Colombia ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for apple exported from Chile worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2020, after four years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of apples, when their volume decreased by -X% to X tonnes. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then dropped slightly in the following year.

In value terms, apple imports shrank modestly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019, and then declined modestly in the following year.
