Exports in Central Asia

Canned food exports surged to X tons in 2022, jumping by X% compared with 2021. Overall, exports saw a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, canned food exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Uzbekistan was the main exporter of canned food in Central Asia, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Mongolia (X%) and Kyrgyzstan (X%). Tajikistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
