Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the table linen, knitted or crocheted exports, with a CAGR of +90.6% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+28.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Uzbekistan increased by +72 percentage points.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X tons) represented the main importer of table linen, knitted or crocheted, committing 67% of total imports. Uzbekistan (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Tajikistan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons). All these countries together held near 31% share of total imports.

Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of table linen, knitted or crocheted. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+35.0%) and Kyrgyzstan (+16.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported table linen, knitted or crocheted in Central Asia, comprising 79% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tajikistan ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan totaled +1.3%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Tajikistan (-12.9% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+16.9% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, falling by -15.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then reduced markedly in the following year.
