For the sixth year in a row, Central Asia recorded growth in overseas shipments of self-adhesive printed labels, which increased by 204% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a significant expansion. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, self-adhesive printed label exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate significant growth. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Uzbekistan dominates exports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 91% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), committing a 5.8% share of total exports. Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the self-adhesive printed labels exports, with a CAGR of +222.4% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+39.9%) and Kyrgyzstan (+26.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, surging by 28% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the export price increased by 73%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (+29.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2022, the amount of self-adhesive printed labels imported in Central Asia surged to X tons, picking up by 53% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 65% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
