Preserved Sauerkraut Exports in Central Asia

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012, when it surged by X% y-o-y. In that year, the preserved sauerkraut exports attained their peak volume of X tonnes. From 2013 to 2017, growth of the preserved sauerkraut exports stood at a somewhat lower level.

In value terms, preserved sauerkraut exports totaled $X in 2017. The preserved sauerkraut exports continue to indicate a perceptible setback. In that year, the preserved sauerkraut exports attained their peak level of $X. From 2013 to 2017, growth of the preserved sauerkraut exports stood at a somewhat lower level.

Preserved Sauerkraut Exports by Country in Central Asia

Kyrgyzstan was the main exporter of preserved sauerkraut in Central Asia, with the volume of exports resulting at X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2017. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tonnes), constituting X% share of total exports. Mongolia (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2017, average annual rates of growth with regard to preserved sauerkraut exports from Kyrgyzstan stood at -X%. At the same time, Mongolia (+X%) and Kazakhstan (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mongolia emerged as the fastest growing exporter in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. Kyrgyzstan (X%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -X% from 2007 to 2017, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X), Kyrgyzstan ($X) and Mongolia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2017.

In 2017, the preserved sauerkraut export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per tonne, going up by X% against the previous year. The export price indicated a prominent expansion from 2007 to 2017: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2017 figures, the preserved sauerkraut export price increased by +X% against 2014 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012, an increase of X% year-to-year. The level of export price peaked of $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Export prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest export price was Mongolia ($X per tonne), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

In 2017, imports of preserved sauerkraut in Central Asia stood at X tonnes, approximately equating the previous year. The preserved sauerkraut imports continue to indicate an abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012, when it surged by X% against the previous year. In that year, the preserved sauerkraut imports attained their peak volume of X tonnes. From 2013 to 2017, growth of the preserved sauerkraut imports failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, preserved sauerkraut imports stood at $X in 2017. The preserved sauerkraut imports continue to indicate a slight downturn. In that year, the preserved sauerkraut imports attained their peak level of $X. From 2013 to 2017, growth of the preserved sauerkraut imports failed to regain its momentum.

Preserved Sauerkraut Imports by Country in Central Asia

Kazakhstan (X tonnes) and Mongolia (X tonnes) prevails in preserved sauerkraut imports structure, together mixed up X% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X tonnes) held the slight share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Mongolia (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the import prices increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import prices for preserved sauerkraut reached its maximum level of $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Average import prices varied noticeably amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, major importing countries recorded the following import prices: in Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) and Kyrgyzstan ($X per tonne), while Mongolia ($X per tonne) and Kyrgyzstan ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.
