Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of passenger cars, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. In general, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

The following exporters - Mongolia (X units) and Tajikistan (X units) - each finished at a X% share of total exports.

Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the passenger cars exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Mongolia (X%) and Kyrgyzstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Uzbekistan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kazakhstan (X p.p.) and Uzbekistan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
