Lettuce And Chicory Exports

Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas shipments of lettuce and chicory, when their volume increased by X% to X tons. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, lettuce and chicory exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Uzbekistan (X tons) represented the key exporter of lettuce and chicory, making up X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons), committing a X% share of total exports. Kazakhstan (X tons) held a little share of total exports.
