The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X units) was the largest exporter of iron or steel gas domestic appliances, generating 67% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X units), making up a 29% share of total exports. Uzbekistan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to metal gas appliances exports from Kazakhstan stood at -13.5%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+9.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +9.1% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Kyrgyzstan (-50.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan increased by +65 and +4.4 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest metal gas appliances supplier in Central Asia, comprising 99% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 1.1% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan stood at -3.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kyrgyzstan (-51.1% per year) and Uzbekistan (0.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, surging by 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 215% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+12.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Metal gas appliances imports surged to X units in 2021, with an increase of 57% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports continue to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 135% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, metal gas appliances imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 147% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Uzbekistan (X units) and Kyrgyzstan (X units) dominates imports structure, together making up 90% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), mixing up a 9.7% share of total imports.

In 2021, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
