Mongolia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 10% share, followed by Tajikistan (9.1%). Uzbekistan (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.

Imports into Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -1.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Tajikistan (+31.5%) and Uzbekistan (+1.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan totaled -5.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mongolia (-18.7% per year) and Tajikistan (+28.6% per year).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the import price increased by 26%.
