Exports of Glass Fibres and Glass Fibre Articles

Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, the amount of glass fibres and glass fibre articles exported in Central Asia dropped to X tons, reducing by X% against the year before. In general, exports, however, saw significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, glass fibre and article exports reached $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. Kazakhstan (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Tajikistan (X%). Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Uzbekistan increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (X%), Tajikistan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Tajikistan (X p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of X% against the previous year.
