Exports in Central Asia

After three years of decline, overseas shipments of domestic electric toasters increased by X% to X units in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year.

In value terms, domestic toaster imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted slightly in the following year.

Imports by Country

Kazakhstan was the key importing country with an import of about X units, which resulted at X% of total imports. Uzbekistan (X units) held an X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Mongolia (X%) and Turkmenistan (X%). Kyrgyzstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Turkmenistan (X%), Uzbekistan (X%) and Kyrgyzstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Turkmenistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Mongolia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan increased by X and X percentage points, respectively.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
