Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, approx. X tons of chandeliers were exported in Central Asia; with an increase of X% on 2021. Overall, exports showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chandelier exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Kyrgyzstan was the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. Uzbekistan (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports.

Kyrgyzstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the chandeliers exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. In 2022, purchases abroad of chandeliers decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the third consecutive year after three years of growth. Overall, imports, however, showed a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, chandelier imports dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. Kazakhstan prevails in imports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. Turkmenistan (X tons) took an X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Uzbekistan (X%). Mongolia (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.

Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of chandeliers. At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Mongolia (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Turkmenistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Uzbekistan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
