Exports in Central Asia
After two years of decline, overseas shipments of cabbage and other brassicas increased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cabbage exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Uzbekistan represented the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with an X% share, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X%). Tajikistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to cabbage exports from Uzbekistan stood at X%. At the same time, Tajikistan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
