Exports in Central Asia

After two years of growth, overseas shipments of albums for samples, collections, stamps or photographs decreased by X% to X tons in 2023. In general, exports, however, saw resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, stamp and photo collection album exports contracted dramatically to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Uzbekistan was the largest exporting country with an export of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X kg), creating a X% share of total exports. Mongolia (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the albums for samples, collections, stamps or photographs exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Mongolia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In Uzbekistan, stamp and photo collection album exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2023. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (X% per year) and Mongolia (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2023, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the export price increased by X%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2022 to 2023, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2023, stamp and photo collection album imports in Central Asia soared to X tons, jumping by X% against the year before. In general, imports, however, recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, stamp and photo collection album imports surged to $X in 2023. Overall, imports, however, showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
