Non-Electric Air Heater Exports

Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, the amount of non-electric air heaters or hot air distributors exported in Central Asia soared to X units, growing by 144% against the year before. In general, exports showed a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 258% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric air heater exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 145%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Kazakhstan dominates exports structure, reaching X units, which was approx. 91% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X units), generating a 9.2% share of total exports.

Exports from Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+65.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +65.8% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan increased by +12 and +9.1 percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest non-electric air heater supplier in Central Asia, comprising 98% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 1.8% share of total exports.

In 2022, overseas purchases of non-electric air heaters or hot air distributors increased by 11% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports showed notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 106% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric air heater imports rose significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw pronounced growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Kazakhstan dominates imports structure, accounting for X units, which was near 79% of total imports in 2022. Kyrgyzstan (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Uzbekistan (X units) and Mongolia (X units). All these countries together took near 18% share of total imports. Tajikistan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to non-electric air heater imports into Kazakhstan stood at +6.9%. At the same time, Tajikistan (+12.8%) and Uzbekistan (+6.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +12.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Mongolia (-4.1%) and Kyrgyzstan (-7.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Kazakhstan (+18 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+6.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan saw its share reduced by -6.3% and -15.4% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
