Over the period under review, iron oxide pigments imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, iron oxide pigments imports totaled $X in 2018. In general, iron oxide pigments imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, iron oxide pigments imports attained their peak figure at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, the Czech Republic (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of iron oxide pigments to Bulgaria, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, iron oxide pigments imports from the Czech Republic exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tonnes), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Turkey (X tonnes), with a X% share.
