Imports into Bulgaria
In 2022, approx. X tons of i-sections of non-alloy steel were imported into Bulgaria; with a decrease of X% against 2021 figures. Overall, total imports indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-alloy steel i-sections imports expanded modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest non-alloy steel i-sections supplier to Bulgaria, accounting for a X% share of total imports.
