Exports by Country

Italy (X tonnes) was the main destination for sulphite wood pulp exports from Bulgaria, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, sulphite wood pulp exports to Italy exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Austria (X tonnes), more than tenfold.

Over the period under review, sulphite wood pulp imports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, sulphite wood pulp imports totaled $X in 2018. In general, sulphite wood pulp imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Sweden (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of sulphite wood pulp imports to Bulgaria, together comprising X% of total imports.
