Cereal Flour Market Size in Bulgaria
In 2018, market size of cereal flours was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2011, thus ending a six-year declining trend. Over the period under review, cereal flour consumption, however, showed a measured reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when the market value increased by X% against the previous year. Bulgaria cereal flour consumption peaked at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports from Bulgaria
In 2018, the cereal flour exports from Bulgaria declined sharply to X tonnes, dropping by -X% on 2017. Overall, cereal flour exports, however, posted skyrocketing growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Bulgaria exports peaked at X tonnes in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

Turkey (X tonnes) and Kazakhstan (X tonnes) represented roughly X% of total exports of cereal flours in 2018. It was distantly followed by Germany (X tonnes), comprising a X% share of total exports. Argentina (X tonnes), Pakistan (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), Egypt (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Uzbekistan (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes) and Canada (X tonnes) held a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2007 to 2018, the biggest increases were in Uzbekistan (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest cereal flour supplier from Bulgaria, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Kazakhstan ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey stood at +X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2018, the cereal flour export price in Bulgaria amounted to $X per tonne, growing by X% against the previous year. In general, the cereal flour export price, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, the export prices for cereal flours attained their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2018, the growth in terms of the export prices for cereal flours remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per tonne), while Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the U.S., while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Bulgaria

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Bulgaria imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Guinea, while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest cereal flour importing markets into Bulgaria were Iraq ($X), Afghanistan ($X) and the U.S. ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. The Netherlands, France, Angola, Guinea, Brazil, Syrian Arab Republic, Uzbekistan, Bolivia and Somalia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X the main importing countries, Guinea recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2018, the cereal flour import price in Bulgaria amounted to $X per tonne, surging by X% against the previous year. Overall, the cereal flour import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 an increase of X% y-o-y. In that year, the import prices for cereal flours reached their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2009 to 2018, the growth in terms of the import prices for cereal flours remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per tonne), while Uzbekistan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
