Exports from Brazil

For the seventh year in a row, Brazil recorded growth in overseas shipments of vehicles not mechanically propelled, which increased by X% to X units in 2022. In general, exports showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, non-propelled vehicle exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Paraguay (X units), Argentina (X units) and Uruguay (X units) were the main destinations of non-propelled vehicle exports from Brazil, together accounting for X% of total exports. Bolivia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Chile, Ecuador and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Democratic Republic of the Congo (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In general, total imports indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade.
