The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Exports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Paraguay (X tonnes) was the main destination for frozen vegetables exports from Brazil, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, frozen vegetables exports to Paraguay exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Chile (X tonnes), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Marshall Islands (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume to Paraguay was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (+X% per year) and Marshall Islands (X% per year).

In value terms, the largest markets for frozen vegetables exported from Brazil were Marshall Islands ($X), Chile ($X) and Panama ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.

Chile (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the average frozen vegetables export price amounted to $X per tonne, which is down by -X% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable decline.
