In value terms, electrical insulating fittings exports fell notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

The U.S. (X units), Germany (X units) and Paraguay (X units) were the main destinations of electrical insulating fittings exports from Brazil, with a combined X% share of total exports. China, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Egypt and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by South Korea (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X) remains the key foreign market for electrical insulating fittings exports from Brazil, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Paraguay, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the U.S. amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+X% per year) and Paraguay (+X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The average electrical insulating fittings export price stood at $X per unit in 2020, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2012 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Colombia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Brazil

In 2020, the amount of electrical insulating fittings of plastics imported into Brazil declined to X units, waning by -X% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, electrical insulating fittings imports expanded sharply to $X in 2020. Overall, imports showed a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2020, China (X units) constituted the largest electrical insulating fittings supplier to Brazil, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, electrical insulating fittings imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, South Korea (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Hungary (X units), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Korea (+X% per year) and Hungary (+X% per year).

In value terms, China ($X), Mexico ($X) and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the largest electrical insulating fittings suppliers to Brazil, with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by South Korea, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Japan, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, France, Austria and Switzerland, which together accounted for a further X terms of the main suppliers, Malaysia recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The average electrical insulating fittings import price stood at $X per unit in 2020, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a mild setback. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, import prices failed to regain the momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
