As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Paraguay totaled +4.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Argentina (-1.7% per year) and Chile (+29.1% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The average toy export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a noticeable reduction. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2021, imports of dolls and toys into Brazil surged to X tons, jumping by 31% against 2020. Overall, total imports indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine years. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled +1.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (+25.6% per year) and Mexico (+23.8% per year).

The average toy import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable slump. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
