Exports from Brazil

In 2023, overseas shipments of chainsaws with a self-contained non-electric motor decreased by X% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a temperate increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric chainsaw exports contracted remarkably to $X in 2023. Overall, exports, however, showed a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2022, and then reduced notably in the following year.

India (X units), Mexico (X units) and Colombia (X units) were the main destinations of non-electric chainsaw exports from Brazil, with a combined X% share of total exports.

For the seventh year in a row, Brazil recorded growth in supplies from abroad of chainsaws with a self-contained non-electric motor, which increased by X% to X units in 2023. In general, imports recorded a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-electric chainsaw imports fell to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2016 indices.
