The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The biggest shipments were from Belgium (X units) and the Netherlands (X units), together accounting for 99% of total export.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of -3.1%).
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) and Belgium ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +3.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review.

The export price in Benelux stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Export price indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, truck export price increased by +41.6% against 2020 indices. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Belgium totaled $X per unit.

Imports in Benelux
After two years of growth, overseas purchases of trucks decreased by -37.7% to X units in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, truck imports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 34%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Belgium (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) dominates imports structure, together making up 98% of total imports. Luxembourg (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
