Exports from Belgium

In 2022, overseas shipments of tobacco (unmanufactured) decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, exports, however, showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, unmanufactured tobacco exports dropped markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main destinations of unmanufactured tobacco exports from Belgium, together accounting for X% of total exports.
