Exports from Belarus

In 2023, uncoated kraft liner exports from Belarus skyrocketed to X tons, rising by X% against 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, uncoated kraft liner exports surged to $X in 2023. Overall, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for uncoated kraft liner exports from Belarus, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, uncoated kraft liner exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Egypt (X tons), threefold.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia amounted to X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Egypt (X% per year) and Ukraine (X% per year).

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.
