From 2014 to 2018, the growth of pulses exports failed to regain its momentum.
In value terms, pulses exports amounted to $X in 2018. Over the period under review, pulses exports continue to indicate a drastic reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, pulses exports attained their maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Turkey (X tonnes) was the main destination for pulses exports from Azerbaijan, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, pulses exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Russia (X tonnes), threefold. Denmark (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Turkey was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (-X% per year) and Denmark (+X% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for pulses exports from Azerbaijan, comprising X% of total pulses exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Russia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Denmark, with a X% share.

From 2010 to 2018, the growth of pulses imports remained at a lower figure.

Russia (X tonnes), Turkey (X tonnes) and Kazakhstan (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of pulses imports to Azerbaijan, together accounting for X% of total imports.
From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Kazakhstan, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest pulses suppliers to Azerbaijan were Turkey ($X), Russia ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports.
