For the third consecutive year, the Austrian polycarbonate market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -X% to $X in 2020. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a perceptible slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Slovakia (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and Italy (X tonnes) were the main destinations of polycarbonate exports from Austria, together comprising X% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico and Slovenia, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Mexico (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
