Hungary, the UK, the Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.

In 2021, the average hydrogen chloride export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 1,595% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2019 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+32.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Overall, imports, however, showed a noticeable reduction. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Moreover, hydrogen chloride imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Hungary (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Slovenia (X tons), with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany amounted to +3.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hungary (-10.3% per year) and Slovenia (+8.0% per year).
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid) to Austria, comprising 62% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovenia ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovenia (+12.9% per year) and Hungary (-9.9% per year).
