Exports in Australia and Oceania

For the third year in a row, Australia and Oceania recorded growth in shipments abroad of unit construction machines for working metal, which increased by X% to X units in 2023. Overall, exports saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, unit construction machine exports surged to $X in 2023. In general, exports recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Australia was the key exporter of unit construction machines for working metal in Australia and Oceania, with the volume of exports accounting for X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), achieving a X% share of total exports.

Overall, imports, however, recorded a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2023, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, unit construction machine imports contracted sharply to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a deep setback.
