While the share of the United Arab Emirates (X p.p.), Thailand (X p.p.), India (X p.p.), Indonesia (X p.p.), Singapore (X p.p.), Kazakhstan (X p.p.), Turkey (X p.p.) and Japan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2023, the share of Malaysia (X p.p.) and China (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X), China ($X) and India ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2023, with a combined X% share of total imports. Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Palestine, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Indonesia, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2023, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per square meter, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the last eleven years, it increased at an average annual rate of X%.
