Solid Biofuel Exports

Exports in Asia

For the third consecutive year, Asia recorded growth in shipments abroad of solid biofuels, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, solid biofuel exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

In 2022, Vietnam (X tons) represented the largest exporter of solid biofuels, comprising X% of total exports. Indonesia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Malaysia (X%). Turkey (X tons), India (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to solid biofuel exports from Vietnam stood at X%. For the seventh year in a row, Asia recorded growth in overseas purchases of solid biofuels, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, solid biofuel imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Japan (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together committing X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by China (X tons), creating a X% share of total imports. Saudi Arabia (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
