Exports in Asia
Rum exports surged to X litres in 2022, with an increase of X% compared with the previous year. In general, exports saw a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
In value terms, rum exports surged to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
India was the major exporting country with an export of around X litres, which recorded X% of total exports. The Philippines (X litres) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by the United Arab Emirates (X%), Armenia (X%) and Singapore (X%).
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to rum exports from India stood at X%. At the same time, Armenia (X.8%), the Philippines (X%) and the United Arab Emirates (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of X.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Singapore (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. India (X p.p.), the Philippines (X p.p.), Armenia (X p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Singapore saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, India ($X), the Philippines ($X) and Singapore ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined X% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates and Armenia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
Armenia, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia stood at $X per litre in 2022, increasing by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per litre in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per litre), while India ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Philippines (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Rum imports soared to X litres in 2022, increasing by X% against 2021 figures. Total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The following importers - South Korea (X litres), the Philippines (X litres), Bahrain (X litres), Taiwan (Chinese) (X litres), Kazakhstan (X litres) and Cyprus (X litres) - together made up X% of total imports.
Israel was also the fastest-growing in terms of the rum imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Turkey (X%), Kazakhstan (X%), Taiwan (Chinese) (X%), Oman (X%), Cyprus (X%), Bahrain (X%), the United Arab Emirates (X%) and South Korea (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Singapore (X%), China (X%) and the Philippines (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Israel, Turkey and Oman increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per litre), while Israel ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
