In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in shipments abroad of prepared rubber accelerators, when their volume increased by 14% to X tons. Total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 42% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, prepared rubber accelerators exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
China was the main exporter of prepared rubber accelerators in Asia, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was approx. 72% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), together generating a 17% share of total exports. India (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Japan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +11.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, India (+12.3%), Malaysia (+10.3%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +12.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, South Korea (-1.5%) and Japan (-4.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+11 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Japan, South Korea and Taiwan (Chinese) saw its share reduced by -3.7%, -3.9% and -4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest prepared rubber accelerators supplier in Asia, comprising 74% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 6.5% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a 4.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China amounted to +13.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Malaysia (+9.2% per year) and India (+15.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, growing by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Malaysia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+2.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Asia
In 2021, approx. X tons of prepared rubber accelerators were imported in Asia; increasing by 22% against 2020. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +27.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

The countries with the highest levels of prepared rubber accelerators imports in 2021 were Thailand (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), India (X tons), China (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons), together resulting at 73% of total import. The following importers - Sri Lanka (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), South Korea (X tons), Turkey (X tons), Hong Kong SAR (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) - together made up 21% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Saudi Arabia (with a CAGR of +19.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest prepared rubber accelerators importing markets in Asia were Thailand ($X), India ($X) and Indonesia ($X), together accounting for 49% of total imports. These countries were followed by China, Vietnam, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Turkey, Taiwan (Chinese), Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong SAR, which together accounted for a further 46%.
Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +24.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, rising by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($X per ton), while Hong Kong SAR ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+3.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
