Prepared Culture Media Exports

Exports in Asia

In 2023, shipments abroad of prepared culture media for development of micro-organisms decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the third year in a row after three years of growth. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, prepared culture media exports plummeted to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

In 2023, China (X tons) represented the major exporter of prepared culture media for development of micro-organisms, comprising X% of total exports. South Korea (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Japan (X%), India (X%) and Singapore (X%). Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
