Australia (X units), South Korea (X units), Japan (X units) and Hong Kong SAR (X units) represented roughly 81% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by China (X units), generating a 4.8% share of total imports. The following importers - Malaysia (X units) and New Zealand (X units) - each amounted to a 6% share of total imports.

In value terms, the largest women’s bathrobe importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Australia ($X), Japan ($X) and South Korea ($X), together accounting for 76% of total imports. These countries were followed by Hong Kong SAR, China, New Zealand and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further 18%.
Among the main importing countries, China, with a CAGR of +23.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, women’s bathrobe import price decreased by -19.4% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the import price increased by 25%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
