Paddy Rice Market Size in Asia-Pacific

Paddy Rice Exports

Exports in Asia-Pacific

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of paddy rice, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

In value terms, paddy rice exports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

India prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Myanmar (X tons), mixing up a X% share of total exports. China (X tons), Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) and Pakistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to paddy rice exports from India stood at X%. At the same time, Myanmar (X%) and Pakistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Myanmar emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. China and Lao People's Democratic Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
