In 2022, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of plastic fittings for furniture, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

By contrast, Taiwan (Chinese) (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (X p.p.) and South Korea (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Taiwan (Chinese) saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest plastic furniture fittings supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Korea ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Japan, with a X% share.
