Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, glycosides and vegetable alkaloids exports reduced to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019, and then declined in the following year.

In 2020, China (X tonnes) was the key exporter of glycosides and vegetable alkaloids, achieving X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by India (X tonnes), constituting a X% share of total exports. Malaysia (X tonnes) occupied a relatively small share of total exports.
