Escalator Exports

Exports in Asia-Pacific

In 2022, overseas shipments of escalators and moving WalkWays increased by X% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, escalator exports stood at $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a noticeable setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

China prevails in exports structure, reaching X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Thailand (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the escalators and moving WalkWays exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. Thailand (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2019 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while the Philippines ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
