Production By Country in Asia-Pacific
The country with the largest volume of camel meat production was China (X tonnes), accounting for X% of total volume. Moreover, camel meat production in China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, Pakistan (X tonnes), fivefold. Afghanistan (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total production with a X% share.
In China, camel meat production increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2020. The remaining producing countries recorded the following average annual rates of production growth: Pakistan (-X% per year) and Afghanistan (-X% per year).

Exports in Asia-Pacific
In 2020, shipments abroad of camel meat decreased by -X% to X tonnes for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Total exports indicated a slight expansion from 2007 to 2020: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports increased by +X% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tonnes, and then reduced markedly in the following year.
In value terms, camel meat exports declined markedly to $X in 2020. Total exports indicated a notable increase from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports increased by +X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then plummeted in the following year.

Australia (X tonnes) and Pakistan (X tonnes) represented roughly X% of total exports of camel meat in 2020.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Pakistan (+X value terms, the largest camel meat supplying countries in Asia-Pacific were Australia ($X) and Pakistan ($X, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review.
Export Prices by Country
In 2020, the camel meat export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per tonne, declining by -X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per tonne in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per tonne), while Pakistan stood at $X per tonne.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+X%).

In 2020, supplies from abroad of camel meat decreased by -X% to X tonnes for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, saw a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tonnes. From 2014 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, camel meat imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2020, Maldives (X tonnes) was the major importer of camel meat, comprising X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Japan (X tonnes), constituting a X% share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Japan (+X value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported camel meat in Asia-Pacific, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Maldives ($X), with a X% share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Japan amounted to +X%.
Import Prices by Country
In 2020, the camel meat import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per tonne, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a perceptible descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% y-o-y. The level of import peaked at $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, import prices failed to regain momentum.
